Malaysia faces a severe shortage of skilled engineers capable of supporting the semiconductor and electronics industries' ambitions. Industry analysts estimate that approximately 50,000 qualified engineers are needed to satisfy current market demand, yet Malaysia's universities produce only around 5,000 engineering graduates annually. The programme's structure, incorporating academic sessions alongside practical industry engagement and cross-cultural exchange, recognises that talent development requires more than classroom instruction.
