Japan Carries Out First Execution Under PM Takaichi
Japan has executed Sunao Takami, 58, for a deadly 2009 pachinko parlour arson attack in Osaka that killed five people and injured ten others. It marks the first capital punishment under newly appointed Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
