Labuan Airport Halts Operations After Second World War Bomb Discovery Near Runway
Labuan Airport suspended operations on July 2 after a suspected World War II bomb was discovered near the runway. The discovery, made about 200 metres from the airfield on RMAF land, prompted immediate closure and forced multiple flight delays and diversions.
