Thai wildlife officers rescued a critically ill newborn elephant calf stranded on a riverbank in Kanchanaburi after it became separated from its herd. The two-week-old male calf, weighing about 40 kilograms, suffered severe dehydration, mouth ulcers, and multiple injuries.
