Malaysia's Union Membership Remains Critically Low at Six Per Cent, Says Human Resources Minister
Only six per cent of Malaysia's workforce belongs to unions, according to Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan, reflecting limited awareness of union benefits. The government is investing RM6.1 million in 2026 union initiatives.
